Description:

For the first time, New Hanover County 4-H is participating in the Giving Tuesday campaign. We have made it easy for you to join us and spread the word!

Do you know the significance of the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving?  Since 2012, this day has been the unofficial kick-off to the charitable giving season and has become known as Giving Tuesday.

To learn more, watch this video

How can you participate in Giving Tuesday in New Hanover County?
Beginning at 6:55 p.m. on Monday, December 2 through 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, donors will be able to visit http://go.ncsu.edu/NewHanover4H to make a donation to New Hanover County 4-H.  Donations will be used to support 100% county 4-H programming.

  • Any amount of support is extremely appreciated, so whether the donation is large or small, it will truly make a difference.
  • Anyone can post on their personal social media pages to spread the word about what we are doing in our community.
  • Add one of the following hashtags #GivingTuesday or #4HGivesGreen on social media to raise awareness among their peers. These hashtags are used to help enhance the social spirit of the campaign.

Why should I participate?
One of 4-H's essential, core elements is generosity, and what better way to give back to 4-H than by giving generously yourself? During this upcoming Giving Tuesday event, we encourage our friends to give generously in ensuring New Hanover County 4-H's success for future generations.

Your support gives youth hands-on experiences to build the confidence and skills they’ll need to navigate life’s challenges. Donate now and your gift will help “to Make the Best Better!’ in New Hanover County youth!

We hope you’ll join us on December 3 in reaching our goal!
