Job Description As the Consumer Horticulture Agent for NC Cooperative Extension in New Hanover County, I lead research-based educational programs focused on sustainable gardening, ecological landscaping, and horticultural science. I manage the Extension Master Gardener program, providing volunteer training and outreach to support the Arboretum and Gardens. I also oversee the "Nature at Home" program, promoting ecological practices in landscaping. My role includes collaborating with community organizations, offering pesticide licensing and recertification opportunities, and using diverse media platforms to connect with and educate the public.
