Collapse ▲It’s sure to be a ‘BLOOMTASTIC’ time at this year’s Tidewater Camellia Club “Fall Festival Camellia Celebration and Sale” on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the New Hanover County Arboretum (6206 Oleander Drive, Wilmington) from 12 p.m.until 3 p.m.
The ever-popular “Tidewater Select” camellia plants of rare and unique cultivars will be on sale starting promptly at 12 p.m. with all 3-gallon plants for just $35. The sale ends when camellias are sold out.
NEW events this year are a self-guided Scavenger Hunt, Storytime at the Children’s Garden, and a Victorian Tea Party along with some signature crafts to round out the FREE Family afternoon. Sign up at www.tidewatercamelliaclub.org for Storytime and your spot at the Victorian Tea Party!!! Spaces limited!
Also NEW at the Fall Festival Camellia Celebration, Camellia College educators will teach you about proper planting, caring for your camellias, and will be answering questions about pruning, fertilizing, grafting, and air-layering.
The favorite Arboretum tours of the Camellia Garden are going to be available during select times plus — we are excited to have Mommiez Food Truck on site from Noon until 3 p.m. for all to enjoy.
BRING YOUR BLOOMS!!! We are welcoming the public’s blooms to be exhibited during the festival along with TCC Members’ camellia blooms. Please bring your Camellia and Sasanqua blooms to the Arboretum by 9:30 a.m. on 11/19 to enter them for judging. Lots of prizes to be won!! Public viewing will open at Noon in the Education Center.
