4-H clubs provide a vibrant space for youth to connect with peers who share their interests, master new skill sets, and meet in their own communities. By joining a club, youth develop the essential social and technical skills needed to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Teen Leaders
The Teen Leaders 4-H Club serves as the countywide leadership club for 4-H teens. Its purpose is to help teen 4-H’ers develop strong leadership skills while strengthening and supporting the overall county 4-H program. Members participate in a variety of leadership, community engagement, and educational opportunities that help them grow personally and make a positive impact in their communities. Teens from all county 4-H clubs are encouraged to get involved and take advantage of these valuable experiences.
Coastal Clovers
The Coastal Clovers 4-H Club is a fun and engaging group for youth ages 5–11 who meet on Thursday afternoons throughout the summer. This club focuses on building leadership skills that will serve members for a lifetime. Through hands-on activities, teamwork, and community involvement, youth develop confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of belonging.
Junior Master Gardener
The Junior Master Gardener 4-H Club is designed to educate youth about gardening through fun, hands-on activities. Youth will learn how to build and care for gardens while developing important life skills, environmental awareness, and a love for the outdoors.
Envirothon 4-H Club
The Envirothon 4-H Club youth learn skills in Soils/Land Use, Forestry, Wildlife, Aquatic Ecology, and Current Environmental Issues while deepening their understanding of the environment. This club primarily focuses on preparing for the Envirothon Competitions in March and April!
Meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month at the Extension office.
Task Trackers
This in-school club at Trask Middle School focuses on public speaking, community engagement, STEM, and more!

Are you ready to learn, serve, and grow with a 4-H club in New Hanover County? Contact our 4-H agent for more information by emailing cecilia_tadt@ncsu.edu, then enroll in 4-H online with our step-by-step guide.
Have Other Interests?
There are opportunities to start your own club right here in New Hanover County! If you are interested in starting a club that is not currently offered, all you need is:
- 5 youth from 3 different families
- 2 Adult Leaders
- To meet at least 6 times over the course of a year
