Island and Sound Exploration Summer Fun Program!
The “Island and Sound Exploration” program on July 11th is designed to introduce campers to the coast and its wonders. Marine educators will be aboard to add insight to our discoveries as the campers take part in an array of hands-on experiences that make learning exciting. After boarding the vessel in Carolina Beach, we will travel through Myrtle Grove Sound and the Intracoastal Waterway before landing on the uninhabited Masonboro Island. Most of the program’s activities take place on this pristine barrier island which will include exploring the diverse biology of the beautiful beach, marsh and tidal creeks. After our beach adventures of learning and fun we get back aboard our vessel and return to the dock.
