Participants will learn about key messages from the recently published drought assessment. Topics to be covered include a state-of-the-science review of direct and indirect impacts of drought on forests and rangelands, as well as a discussion of management options for increasing resilience to future drought.

Join us, the New Hanover County 4-H, as we explore ways to save the planet without needing any superpowers! This camp is for rising 6th through 8th graders only. Campers will learn fun, sustainable ways to improve their environment by getting involved in their community. Campers will have hands-on experience at the arboretum,  UNCW campus, and the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. The cost includes lunch, snacks, transportation, and supplies.

Good manners make life more pleasant for everyone, so why not give your child the social tools they will use every day for the rest of their lives. Classes will have hands-on experience and fun doing it! Open to ALL 4-H age groups!

Description: Description:
This will be a camp designed to give our teens (ages 14-18) the tools they need to explore higher education, government, and the world. We will visit public, private, land-grant, and community colleges. We will have lessons in living in dorms, filling out college applications, and etiquette. Two days will be traveling in state while three days (and two nights) will be out of state as we explore Williamsburg, VA and we'll throw some science and technology in, too. The cost includes two breakfasts, five lunches, two dinners, hotel (two to a room), admission for trips, and travel.

College tour cities: Wilmington, NC; Lumberton, NC; Raleigh, NC; Williamsburg, VA

Budding chefs will enjoy five fun-filled days of hands-on basic preparation, explore flavors, and make recipes from that cuisine. they’d love to take an around-the-world summer adventure, but bringing international flavors home is way more doable. The cost includes lunch and supplies.
