4-H Club Puts Hands to Service at Beach Clean Up

“My Hands to larger service” is a phrase of the 4-H pledge that every club member commits themselves to. The Helping Hands 4-H Club put those words into action on a windy Saturday at Wrightsville Beach to help make their community a cleaner place. The members voted on a service project and chose to clean a beach.

The gardening club meets twice a month after school at Murrayville Elementary School; lead by Master Gardeners Joyce Huguelet, Virginia Teachey and Gretchen Simmons, and school guidance counselor Lisa Espy.
